![]() I know that Transparent and MIT have speaker cables with filter boxes on them, but they are not user adjustable as far as I remember, and it is unclear which frequencies are filtered. ![]() Any high frequency hash, EMI/RF noise or unwanted harmonics would be completely cut off. Something that is put near the speaker terminals so if any noise is picked up along the way this will be blocked as well. Something that is user adjustable so you can try different frequencies. Even though speakers are rated to a certain level, much higher frequencies will be reproduced anyway and I would like to block them from getting to the speaker in the first place. Let's say, for example, that I only want to have frequencies up to 22kHz go to the speaker and nothing higher. Different 'sounds' and harmonics at different frequency bands over 20Khz are produced when playing CD, High Rez PCM or DSD and not all are desirable. I would like to test reduction in listening fatigue and its relation to frequency levels produced from the speaker. Has anyone ever tried some kind of analog brick wall filter that completely and utterly blocks any frequencies from going to the speaker over a certain frequency? ![]()
